Tom “Birdman” Striker’s Celebration of Life
May 16 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
For all of those you knew Tom well or even had to pleasure to meet him, you know what a uniquely wonderful man he was! We have all loved having the opportunity to learn from him, work side by side with him, or even just to go birding with him. His vast knowledge was a gift he was able to share with everyone!
We here at the Bird Seed Company are pleased to be able to host a “Celebration of Life” with the Striker family to honor and celebrate Tom and a wonderful life he lived to the fullest. We will be hosting an Open House event on Sunday, May 16th from 2-4 pm. We hope you will stop by and say cheers to “The Birdman”.
Many have asked what contribution you might make in Tom’s memory. Daughter, Karen, shared that Tom had confided that forester was his favorite profession. With two forestry degrees, 15 years of loyal service and a consummate nature-oriented/conservatism lifelong passion, the Nature Conservancy made an obvious choice for the family.
A donation to this fine organization would be right inline with what Tom stood for all his adult life and as a boy scout growing up.
Additionally, since Tom, by avocation, was a consummate birder, and the authoring of his book – – a two-year process– it has been suggested that purchasing a copy of his book, “Never Bird in the Road” for yourself, a friend or as a donation to a local library would be a fitting testimony to him and his work.”
