The unbeatable Squirrel Buster technology makes this ¾ quart feeder 100% squirrel proof against squirrels and some nuisance birds.How it works: The seed tube is protected by a heavy metal mesh sleeve that is spring-mounted so it collapses under the weight of a squirrel or large bird, covering the feeding ports. A solid metal sleeve covers the hanger; a squirrel holding on to the sleeve will activate the spring, closing the feeding ports. The Mini offers both a clinging and perching environment, attracting a greater variety of songbirds. The large U-shaped perches accomodate Cardinals comfortably. The Mini is easy to fill and easy to clean. The seed tube ventilation keeps seed fresher and dryer for our feathered friends.
